Job summary

University of Miami is seeking a Full-Time Ultrasound Technologist 3 to be based onsite in Miami, FL. The role performs diagnostic sonographic examinations, operates advanced ultrasound equipment, and oversees quality and safety of procedures.

The candidate must hold RVT certification, active BLS, and at least five years of relevant experience. RESPONSIBLE for scheduling, coordinating tests, and maintaining records and equipment within the Ultrasound Services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• RVT certification required; Active BLS certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant ultrasound experience.
• Proficiency with computer software (Microsoft Office) and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialty sonographic procedures in cases of varying difficulty.
• Operates 2-D, 3-D, color, power and spectral Doppler modalities for ultrasound examinations.
• Ensures diagnostic quality of scans with knowledge of ultrasound techniques and disease processes.
• Evaluates preliminary interpretations and communicates suspected pathology to attending physicians.
• Prepares examinations, documents procedures, and maintains logs; participates in QA and safety practices.
