Description

Performs a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB/GYN, abdominal, and small parts. Assists radiologists during invasive procedures. An additional certification (Breast, Vascular, Neurosonography, MSK, Pediatrics, Fetal Echo, Nuchal translucency, or Neonatal specialty) is required for sonographer 2 status. Makes clinical judgments based on information from referring physicians, medical records, patient interviews, and personal assessments.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound training program, sufficient to meet eligibility for ARDMS registry examination
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Sonography or National Certification from ARDMS
• Upon hire: BLS certification from American Heart Association
• At least 2 years of experience as a sonographer
