Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Clinical Development leader in Waukesha, WI to manage in-house clinical research for ultrasound products. You will oversee protocol development, QA, training, and real-time escalation during scans, while coordinating with global sites and research collaborators.

The role requires ARDMS certification, 6+ years in sonography, and a Bachelor's in a related field. Occasional travel to GE HealthCare facilities will be needed, with a strong focus on safety and protocol

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Six+ years of sonography experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience training, precepting, or assessing competency of sonographers.
• Ability to operate across multiple ultrasound platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own clinical quality across internal scanning sites, including protocols, SOPs, QA, and onboarding.
• Vet new protocols for clinical executability and release version-controlled packages.
• Manage clinical portion of AI scanning, including study docs, image quality, and deviations.
• Ensure compliance with study protocol, GCP, IRB requirements and internal GEHC processes.
• Serve as real-time clinical escalation point during scan hours and make safety decisions.
• Manage and develop the sonographer pool; vet contract sonographers for protocol readiness.
• Ensure ultrasound system readiness, including hands-on feasibility testing and data export workflows.
• Assess new-site clinical readiness and provide go/no-go for protocol launches and go-live.
• Train and guide a large study staff; implement process improvements.
