Job summary

Gosnaphop is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to own the end-to-end UX/UI of a data-dense analytics platform used by engineers and internal stakeholders. The role combines user research, design-system work, and AI-assisted prototyping to deliver scalable interfaces across web and mobile.

The candidate will collaborate with Analytics and Engineering teams, mentor analysts, and participate in onsite sessions in Austin, with a hybrid/remote work arrangement based on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in Design, HCI or related field.
• Experience with Databricks Apps or enterprise platforms is preferred.

Job Title: Senior UI/UX Designer

Office Status: Hybrid if local to Austin (2 days in office to interview stakeholders, mentor and review designs with team) OR Remote if outside of the Austin Metro

Pay: $25 - $75 / hour

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Apply AI tools for rapid prototyping, design-to-code handoff, and high-fidelity interface mockups

2. Design a responsive and scalable UI/UX to ensure consistency across web and mobile interfaces adhering to company design standards.

3. Conduct user research, map complex workflows in close cross-functional collaboration.

4. Work closely with and mentor Analytics team to ensure feasibility and accuracy of design propositions.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to support the frontend experience of a data-dense analytics platform used by engineers, site technicians, and other internal stakeholders across RWE’s renewable energy operations.

This person will own the end-to-end UX/UI experience and help create an efficient, intuitive, responsive, and scalable application. The role will involve user research, workflow mapping, high-fidelity design, AI-assisted prototyping, design-system work, and close collaboration with the Analytics team.

The platform backend is currently built in Databricks, and experience with Databricks Apps or similar enterprise platforms is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

UI/UX Design & Ownership

• Own the end-to-end UI/UX experience for the RAAD frontend application
• Conduct user research and interview stakeholders to understand workflows and requirements
• Translate complex operational processes and data into intuitive user experiences
• Create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, workflows, and scalable design patterns
• Design responsive experiences across web and mobile
• Simplify workflows so users can access critical information efficiently

Analytics & Data Visualization

• Design dashboards and visualizations around renewable asset performance and failures
• Create intuitive experiences for complex data tables, forms, alerts, and operational workflows
• Design customized notifications based on relevant assets/users
• Support continuous monitoring and stakeholder-facing reporting

AI & Frontend Experience

• Apply AI tools for rapid prototyping, high-fidelity mockups, and design-to-code workflows
• Help design AI-enabled troubleshooting and chatbot functionality
• Partner closely with technical teams to ensure designs are feasible for implementation
• Strong technical/frontend fluency required; hands‑on implementation experience preferred

Team Collaboration & Mentorship

• Work cross-functionally with Analytics, Engineering, Operations, and business stakeholders
• Mentor business analysts and other members of the Analytics team
• Present design concepts and iterate based on feedback and evolving requirements
• If Austin-based, participate onsite approximately 2 days/week for stakeholder interviews, collaboration, mentoring, and design reviews

• Figma: Auto Layout/Grids, Component Libraries, Prototyping
• Databricks / Databricks Apps
• Frontend: MUI/Material UI, SSR, async states, streaming APIs
• AI: Rapid prototyping, design-to-code, chatbot functionality
