Qualifications

• Must have two years experience as a licensed attorney in the practice of law.
• A Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) will substitute for one year of the required experience.

• Must be admitted to practice law and in good standing in Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Handles complex UI issues and oversees UI Staff Attorneys and Referees.
• Interprets UI law and drafts orders.
• Revises orders drafted by staff under manager authority.
• Provides legal advice to agency personnel.
• Reviews appeals from UI referees.
• Implements revisions per Commission direction on appeals.
• Drafts proposed orders for KUIC review and adoption.
• Maintains knowledge of changes in law and internal policy.
