Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced frontend/backend developer to design, implement, and maintain applications. You will create responsive UIs, develop RESTful APIs, and ensure cross-browser compatibility.

You will work in an Agile team, mentor juniors, review code, optimize performance, and contribute to tooling and tests. This role emphasizes collaboration with product and design teams and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional front-end development with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS and modern frameworks.
• Extensive experience with React or Angular and related ecosystems (Redux/Next.js).
• Proven ability to design automated UI tests and work with RESTful APIs and SQL.
• Familiarity with build tools and CI/CD pipelines (NPM, Nx; Bitbucket).
• Experience in fintech or financial services is a plus.
• Strong communication, mentoring, and collaborative skills in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end components.
• Implement responsive UIs and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
• Create and manage RESTful APIs for integration with front-end and third parties.
• Design and optimize SQL database schemas and queries.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Implement automated UI tests and participate in QA processes.
• Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups in Agile environment.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define scope.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers to grow skills.
• Evaluate tools and frameworks to improve processes and efficiency.
• Oversee deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and environment management.
• Monitor performance and optimize user experience.
• Maintain documentation for codebases, APIs, and architecture decisions.
• Share knowledge and contribute to team learning and development.
• Implement security measures to protect applications and data.
• Stay updated with industry trends and evolving technologies.
