Job summary

Intuitive is seeking an experienced UI Manager to lead the software team responsible for the UI and state machine of the SP system. You will collaborate with Interaction Design, Human Factors, Clinical, and Controls Engineering to deliver embedded software and graphical user interfaces that are safe, learnable, and confidence-inspiring.

Qualifications

• Experience leading UI software teams for embedded systems.
• Strong knowledge of UI software development lifecycle and risk management.
• Ability to mentor and develop engineering talent.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and attract top talent, mentor and train existing team members and new hires through one-on-one coaching as well as team wide initiatives.
• Interface with cross functional teams to understand UI needs and support business goals.
• Own full development lifecycle for UI software team and documentation (requirements, risk assessment, prototyping, development, testing, releases).
• Champion best practices in software development (code reviews, scrums, CI, testing, design patterns).
• Conduct technical design reviews.
• Assess and update software hazard analyses and mitigations for hazardous situations.
• Document traceability from software requirements to tests.
