Job summary

Anchour, a Maine-based creative agency, seeks a Senior UI Designer to own UI across websites, eCommerce platforms, and digital products. You’ll build design systems, component libraries, and tokens to let brands shine on one foundation.

You’ll work with UX, strategy, development, and marketing, turning brand and content into high-fidelity, build-ready designs for desktop and mobile, with AI tools woven into the workflow and a path to long-term design system growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UI, product, or digital design with strong website design experience.
• Proven ability to build website interface systems and component libraries.
• Strong typography, color, layout, hierarchy, and motion fundamentals.
• WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility integrated into design process.
• Fluent in Figma and collaborative design workflows with developers.
• Experience with eCommerce (Shopify) and headless/enterprise CMS handoffs.
• Ownership mindset; ability to scope to budget and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Own UI from concept to launch across projects with high fidelity.
• Build design systems, component libraries, and token sets.
• Define typography, color, spacing, and motion in documented systems.
• Prototype high-fidelity flows to secure stakeholder sign-off.
• Handoff with organized Figma files and specs for QA and dev teams.
• Lead projects as the primary UI lead; make decisions grounded in user needs.
• Raise standards; contribute to design systems and cross-team reviews.
• Integrate AI into workflows from exploration to QA.
