Qualifications

• Six years of equivalent education/experience or other qualifying combinations as listed in the job posting.
• One year as an ES Benefits Specialist 2 or equivalent experience with another state that administers tax programs.
• Associate/Bachelor/Master degrees with required years of experience and at least 12 semesters/18 quarter hours of accounting.

Responsibilities

• Process employer tax and wage audits and amendments to comply with Title 50; verify and adjust quarterly reports and validate tax, penalties, and interest.
• Research and process payments and reports with invalid account information; ensure EIN matches the agency’s tax system.
• Validate and recommend waiver requests requiring in-depth knowledge of policies and Title 50 statutes.
