Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior UI Artist to shape the visual identity of immersive digital experiences within a creative, collaborative studio environment. You will partner with designers and engineers to deliver polished UI across PC, console, and mobile.

The role emphasizes crafting cohesive visuals, robust design systems, and high-quality motion/UI animation, with ownership of UI assets from concept to shipped product.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a UI Artist or in a closely related art discipline in the games industry.
• A compelling portfolio showcasing UI/UX visual design, texturing, and icon creation.
• Direct experience building and styling UI within Unreal Engine 5 (UMG, Slate, Material Editor).
• Proficiency with industry-standard art and design software.
• Strong understanding of texture optimization, atlasing, and performance for real-time UI.
• Keen eye for typography, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy.
• Track record taking a UI theme from concept to shipped implementation.
• Strong collaboration and English fluency (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Transform UX wireframes into polished UI mockups, interactive prototypes, and design systems using Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Bring finished UI artwork to life in Unreal Editor including UMG setup and material creation
• Craft cohesive design systems spanning menus, HUD, icons, UI materials, shaders, and UI animation
• Develop material effects, 2D/animated VFX, and Blueprint scripting logic
• Fine-tune UI assets for performance across PC, console, and mobile while preserving fidelity and accessibility
• Maintain and update UI asset libraries and style guides
