Job summary

CoreWeave, The Essential Cloud for AI, is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to drive UEFI/BIOS development for high-performance server infrastructure. You will own end-to-end firmware components, collaborate with hardware and security teams, and partner with silicon vendors to optimize a next-generation compute stack.

You will lead architecture, secure boot and POST tasks, while mentoring engineers and shaping roadmap priorities for scalable, secure firmware across the fleet.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement advanced UEFI/BIOS features optimized for large-scale server deployments.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate firmware vulnerabilities and bugs using ITP, JTAG, and hardware debuggers.
• Streamline platform initialization and boot sequences to enhance system responsiveness and efficiency.
• Integrate robust secure boot protocols and hardware-root-of-trust mechanisms to safeguard firmware integrity.
• Engineer and maintain critical POST logic for diverse hardware configurations.
• Design seamless remote firmware update and recovery pipelines for fleet-wide reliability.
• Lead technical collaboration on board bring-up, hardware validation, and platform stabilization efforts.
