Job summary

Skyeton, Inc. in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a senior Manufacturing Engineer to translate drawings and BOMs into manufacturing instructions, and to lead process improvements for scaling UAV production.

You will work with design, electrical, mechanical, and composites teams to ensure producibility and quality. The role requires 8+ years in aerospace/manufacturing/defense, ISO 9001/AS9100 experience, and the ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or defense industries.
• Experience in ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, cable drawings, and BOMs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must be able to obtain a United States Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) into detailed manufacturing work instructions.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes focused on production flow, quality, and reduced build time.
• Identify tooling, fixturing, and process improvements to support production scaling.
• Collaborate with design engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of products.
