Job summary

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) is seeking a highly experienced Risk Management Analyst with an active Secret clearance to lead risk assessment and mitigation for UAS and C-UAS technologies, sensors, and cybersecurity across critical infrastructure.

The role requires deep knowledge of regulatory requirements, strong writing and stakeholder engagement, and the ability to craft guidance for federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial partners.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance for consideration.
• Master of Arts or Masters of Science.
• 10+ years of experience identifying risk areas and conducting risk management strategies.
• Expert on current and emerging UAS and C-UAS technologies, sensors, payloads, UAS cybersecurity, critical infrastructure vulnerabilities to UAS.
• Excellent communication, writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• The Risk Management Analyst provides technical writing and graphics support and assist in developing guidance to enhance federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial (FSLTT) partners and critical infrastructure capacity to manage UAS risk.
• Develop and recommend risk and mitigation measures regarding detection-only and C-UAS technology, maintaining cyber-secure UAS fleets, FAA flight restrictions, employment of non-technical C-UAS methods, identification of suspicious and pre-operational UAS activity, implementing render safe and chain of custody guidance, reporting UAS incidents, understanding and applying legal and regulatory UAS information, and mitigating UAS enabled cyber-attacks on connected systems.
