Job summary

Akima Mission Optimization is seeking a Cyber Risk and Vulnerability Lead to guide risk analysis, vulnerability management, and security posture across enterprise systems in a remote setting. You will interact with leadership to communicate complex security issues and coordinate across teams.

The role requires extensive experience in federal cybersecurity standards, strong leadership, and the ability to work with ISSOs, SOs, and TPOCs to deliver secure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a information technology-related field and eight (8) years of work experience in Information Technology.
• At least four (4) years of risk and vulnerability assessments on complex systems.
• Experience in cybersecurity operations, security control assessments, or related security functions.
• Ability to apply cybersecurity policies across IT and security services.
• Experience collaborating with IT and cybersecurity leadership to maintain information assurance across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity, risk, and vulnerability analysis and guidance aligned with NIST and FISMA.
• Communicate findings and potential implications to leadership with recommended resolutions.
• Evaluate risk likelihood and potential business impacts for informed decision-making.
• Oversee prioritization of fixes based on real-world impact and risk.
• Ensure enterprise applications and systems meet applicable security requirements.
