Job summary

Mach Industries seeks a Senior Reliability Engineer to own the reliability program for UAS platforms. You’ll work hands-on with hardware, test setups, failure evidence, and engineering teams to drive reliability decisions under schedule pressure.

You will use RBDs, FMECA, and root-cause analysis to identify high-risk points, design robust tests, and push for mitigations while communicating residual risk to stakeholders. A startup-pace culture welcomes proactive problem solvers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's in engineering field.
  • 5+ years of reliability, test, failure analysis, or hardware systems experience.
  • Hands-on use of reliability diagrams and FMECA with data-driven actions.
  • Ability to derive engineering actions from incomplete data.
  • Cross-functional experience with design, test, manufacturing, quality, or field ops.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a reliability program across hardware, electrical, firmware, production, and field feedback.
  • Use reliability diagrams and FMECA to identify single-point failures and high-risk dependencies.
  • Recommend tests based on failure hypotheses and mission risk.
  • Lead root-cause investigations using teardown data and manufacturing records.
  • Establish lightweight failure-reporting and corrective-action workflows.
  • Decide what reliability work must happen now and communicate residual risk.
  • Partner cross-functionally to close reliability gaps.
