Job summary

Heven AeroTech is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and drive the technical execution of unmanned aircraft systems engineering programs. You will own the integrated master schedule, translate requirements into work plans, and keep airframe, propulsion, avionics, software, and payload teams aligned against cost, schedule, and performance targets.

You will build and improve PM processes, gating criteria, and tools across programs, ensuring engineering deliverables

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, systems engineering or related field.
• 4–10 years in engineering project management or systems engineering in UAS/aerospace/defense.
• Fluency reading requirements, drawings, interface control docs, and test data.
• Proven experience building and maintaining integrated schedules and WBS for multidisciplinary programs.
• Experience managing technical risk registers, action items, and design review gating.
• Experience improving engineering project management processes, templates, or tools.
• Strong cross‑functional communication and stakeholder management including leadership and customers.
• Working knowledge of configuration management and engineering change control processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical project management for one or more UAS programs across airframe, propulsion, avionics, and software streams.
• Develop and maintain IMS, WBS, and critical path; identify schedule risks and drive recovery.
• Translate requirements and verification plans into actionable task plans and staffing.
• Plan and facilitate technical design reviews and milestones with clear criteria and follow-up.
• Own program-level technical risk and opportunity management and mitigation.
• Manage engineering change requests and PDCR process communication.
• Develop and improve PM processes, templates, and tools across programs.
• Coordinate budgets and resources; support staffing and forecasting with engineering leads.
• Interface with leadership and customers to report status, risks, and trade‑offs.
