Shield AI is seeking a Demonstration Team - Senior Associate Air Vehicle Operator to plan, execute, and lead unmanned aircraft operations for worldwide demonstrations and customer engagements. The role emphasizes aviation judgment, technical expertise, adaptability, and safety in austere environments.

The position involves independent mission execution, classroom instruction, simulator and live-flight training, and frequent travel. Strong leadership and problem-solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1,000 documented unmanned flight hours or 250 manned flight hours.
• Ability to obtain and maintain FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Security Clearance.
• Ability to travel 60–75% including CONUS/OCONUS deployments.

Responsibilities

• Safely executes complex demonstrations while building customer confidence through professional flight operations.
• Plans and leads all aspects of flight operations including risk management and airspace coordination.
• Diagnoses and resolves aircraft, payload, datalink, and ground system issues to maximize mission success.
