The U.S. Courts, Western District of Texas, seeks a Supervisory U.S. Pretrial Services Officer in Midland, Texas. You will supervise the Midland/Odessa, Pecos divisions, and Alpine office, directing officers in monitoring, investigation, and supervision of defendants and support staff.

Three years of specialized experience with at least one year at CL-28 are required, with potential eligibility for CL-30. The position is open to current judiciary employees only and may require overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years specialized experience, including at least one year as a CL-28 pretrial services or probation officer.
• For CL-30: minimum of three years specialized experience, including at least one year at CL-29.

Responsabilités

• Supervise law enforcement officers and staff, set standards, evaluate performance.
• Review and edit written work and case plans for court submissions.
• Assist management in formulating policies and procedures; participate in meetings.
• Communicate with judges, staff, and the public; ensure confidentiality and ethics.
