Job summary

United States Courts is seeking U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services Officer Assistants to provide technical and operational support to probation and pretrial officers.

You will assist with investigations, supervise assigned individuals, and draft formal reports and correspondence; you may appear in court and perform related duties as needed. The role requires a high school diploma with relevant clerical experience; promotions between CL levels are possible based on performance and agency rules.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship or eligible for federal employment.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• High school graduation with two years of progressive general clerical/office experience.
• Specialized experience at CL-24 or CL-25 as described by the agency.

Responsibilities

• Assist with compiling information for investigations and reports.
