Job summary

Lumentum seeks a Senior Export Control Operations Lead to support U.S. export operations and strengthen the company’s global export compliance framework in the Americas. You will lead classification, licensing, screening, and technology control, collaborating with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Sales to ensure risk-based compliance and timely regulatory actions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in international business, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
12+ years of U.S. export control experience with the EAR, ITAR, and U.S. sanctions.
Hands-on experience with complex classification, licensing, screening, and technology control requirements.
Strong analytical skills with good judgment and attention to detail in regulatory contexts.
Experience with cross-functional advisory and training in export controls.

Responsibilities

Export Control Classification: determine jurisdiction and classification for hardware and technology under EAR/ITAR.
Export Licensing Management: identify licensing requirements, prepare and manage licenses (TAAs/MLAs).
End-Use/End-User/Destination Screening: conduct screening and due diligence.
Deemed Export & Technology Control: manage deemed export programs and TCPs.
Compliance Program Management: support monitoring, audits, and training on export controls.
