Job summary

Ag-Pro Companies in the United States is seeking an experienced Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain John Deere equipment and technology. This non-exempt, full-time role may require guidance from the Service Manager and focuses on delivering high-quality service at customer sites or shop locations.

You will mentor trainees, document diagnostics and repairs, manage billable time, and stay current with John Deere products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience performing service repairs; demonstrated experience meeting performance metrics preferred.
• Experience performing repairs and maintenance using tools following Technical Manual procedures on machines in the technician's specialty.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and basic computer functions; Service ADVISOR preferred.
• Strong teamwork and effective verbal/written communication.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
• Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
• Conducts or supports customer clinics.
• Accounts for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Documents diagnostics and repairs thoroughly and submits information on time.
• Participates in Training programs for skill development.
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment.
• Maintains clean work area and follows safety rules.
• Keeps knowledge current on John Deere and competitive products.
