Job summary

PSEG Power is seeking a Turbine Engineer to provide expert technical support for Salem and Hope Creek turbine equipment and related assets. The role demands extensive experience with large steam turbines and medium-sized project execution across site teams.

The candidate will lead reliability strategies, retrofit oversight, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring safety, compliance, and performance targets in a challenging power generation environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical, civil or chemical engineering with 15 years' related experience.
• Experience in turbine operation and design at a power plant or vendor.
• Strong teamwork and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight of turbine health and reliability via maintenance plans.
• Support large steam turbine retrofits and project oversight.
• Define scope of work and explore alternatives.
• Review procurement specs, modification packages, and testing.
• Provide onsite field support during inspections, repairs, and testing.
• Develop and review test procedures for equipment functionality.
• Coordinate with cross-department teams and system engineers.
• Assist site thermal performance monitoring to improve plant efficiency.
• Provide general engineering support for other plant equipment.
• Support during station refueling or outages.
• Comply with 10 CFR 810 and DOE requirements.
