Mott MacDonald in Pittsburgh seeks a Principal Project Manager, Tunnels, to lead major underground infrastructure programs across the Mid-Atlantic. This role focuses on water and wastewater conveyance with a strategic leadership mandate and client-facing responsibilities.

Based in a hybrid in-office model, you will guide pursuit, planning, design, and delivery, while mentoring teams and advancing digital delivery across complex tunnel projects.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain in PA.
• 15+ years in major civil infrastructure delivery.
• Experience with water, wastewater, conveyance, or tunnelling programs.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and project finances.
• Experience with municipal or public-sector clients.
• Knowledge of tunnel, shaft, pump station or similar underground works.

Aufgaben

• Lead major tunnel and underground infrastructure projects from pursuit through delivery.
• Serve as Project Manager or Project Director on large multidisciplinary programs.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and commercial performance.
• Provide leadership to civil, geotechnical, structural, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and construction teams.
• Act as primary client interface and trusted advisor for infrastructure programs.
• Oversee planning, design, procurement, and construction support phases.
• Lead technical reviews, constructability assessments, risk workshops, and value engineering.
• Support pursuits, proposal development, and capture planning for major opportunities.
• Mentor and develop project managers, engineers, and specialists.
• Drive innovation, digital delivery, and best practices in underground delivery.
• Collaborate with regional/national leadership to grow tunnels business.
• Foster safety, collaboration, quality, and technical excellence.
