Job summary

AECOM’s Austin, Texas office is seeking a Senior Tunnel Construction Project Manager to lead two major Central Texas infrastructure programs. The role focuses on TBM tunneling, drainage tunnel pump station projects, safety, quality, schedule, and cost control, while coordinating with TXDOT and client teams.

You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, ensure constructability, manage risks, and drive commissioning and transition to operations across complex underground projects.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in engineering and 12+ years of relevant experience in tunnel and pump station construction, including 4 years of leadership.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Texas.
• Experience leading large-scale infrastructure projects with client interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage construction activities across two major infrastructure projects, guiding PMs, construction managers, field staff and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide senior construction leadership for an ongoing TBM tunnel project, overseeing excavation, tunnel construction and support systems.
• Lead construction management for drainage tunnel pump station infrastructure, coordinating design reviews, sequencing, interfaces, commissioning and operations.
• Serve as primary liaison between AECOM, the client and designers, maintaining communication on progress, risks, cost, schedule and quality.
• Coordinate with TXDOT, contractors, design teams, inspectors and stakeholders to resolve issues and align with TXDOT standards.
