Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with focus on structural/geotechnical design.
  • Demonstrable experience in design/construction management of underground structures.
  • Strong understanding of rock/soil mechanics and concrete design.
  • P.E. license desirable but not essential.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit 3D modeling, and structural analysis.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Job Title: Tunnel Engineer. Reporting to: Senior Engineer. Hours: 40 hours per week. Location: Various, USA.

Job Description

As a full-time employed Tunnel Engineer, you will be working on major projects in the North American region. You will be an integral part of the design team and will be required to carry out a number of diverse engineering tasks. Dr Sauer & Partners is a leading underground and geotechnical specialist with a passion for quality and innovation. Our objective is to continuously discover better ways of solving a project\'s most technical issues, and we seek individuals who can work efficiently across our teams to deliver technical excellence to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Design and detail underground structures, including tunnels, cross passages, and caverns.
  • Develop design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Perform structural modeling and analysis using various engineering software tools.
  • Conduct frequent site visits and support construction activities in the field as needed.
  • Collaborate with clients and project teams to ensure project requirements are met.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a focus on structural and/or geotechnical design.
  • Demonstrable experience in the design and/or construction management of underground structures.

  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is desirable but not essential.
