Job summary

Baystate Health seeks an experienced Senior Tumor Registrar to join the Baystate Regional Cancer Program. You will review medical records, abstract cancer data, and ensure compliance with state and ACS standards.

You will lead registry staff, coordinate studies, and support research efforts while maintaining high data accuracy and regulatory compliance. This role is based in Massachusetts with remote work considerations per state approvals.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• Current CTR certification through NCRA, with certification maintained during employment.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of COC Accreditation is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of federal and state research regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate cancer registry data by reviewing records and abstracting information.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Massachusetts State Cancer Registry and ACS standards.
• Support research and quality improvement through audits and data analysis.
• Monitor patient follow-up and update survival information.
• Coordinate special projects and performance improvement indicators.
• Support program accreditation through SAR documentation.
• Provide team leadership and supervise registry staff.
• Collaborate with investigators and physicians to support registry activities.
