Kingman Regional Medical Center is seeking a Tumor Registrar to maintain malignant disease data, abstract records, and support accreditation efforts. This remote Arizona-based role involves data extraction, chart preparation for tumor boards, and ensuring timely follow-up per ACS standards.

The position offers growth from Level One to Level Two, with CTR certification as a goal and responsibilities spanning registration, reporting, and oversight of non-certified staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and tumor nomenclature.
• Awareness of ACOS and state requirements for cancer programs.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Identify and report malignant cases from within the facility.
• Monitor current cases receiving cancer treatment.
• Abstract core information from medical records within 6 months of diagnosis.
• Follow patients to obtain end-results information per ACS standards.
• Prepare charts for physician review at tumor boards and attend meetings.
• Complete all elements of cancer registry accreditation requirements.
• Provide supervision to non-certified tumor registrars (Level Two).
