Job summary

Bayou Holdco LLC seeks an experienced deck hand to train and monitor crew, rig shorelines, and secure barges to pilings. This role involves moving vessels safely at the port and shifting barges along the dock sides under supervision.

The position requires a Master towing license and at least seven years of barge experience, plus daily equipment inspections and reporting repairs to the Yard Manager. Safety training to onboard personnel is included.

Qualifications

• BA degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Master of towing license required
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience working on barge

Responsibilities

• Train and monitor deck hand
• Rig shorelines
• Secure barges to pilings
• Shift barges at the dock sides
• Must be able push barges around the port
• Performs daily inspection of equipment and reports repair request to Yard Manager
• Conduct safety training to any personas onboard prior to job execution
