Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced System Administrator to support mission-focused programs at the Liberty Center in Chantilly, VA. You will design, implement, and maintain Windows Server and workstation environments, while ensuring security, reliability, and performance across interconnected WAN/LAN networks.

The role requires active Top Secret/SI clearance with polygraph compatibility and DoD 8570 I/II certifications, plus hands-on experience with AD, DNS, Exchange, and enterprise patch

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant information technology experience.
• United States citizenship.
• Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with willingness to complete and maintain a polygraph.
• Current DoD 8570 IAMS and/or IAT Level II compliant certification.
• System administration experience in Windows desktop and server environments.
• Experience with Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019+ environments.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, and Exchange Server.
• Experience maintaining workstation, server, and printer hardware.
• Experience with enterprise patch-management and vulnerability remediation.
• Ability to configure Windows systems in a network domain environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent documentation and presentation abilities.
• Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.

Responsibilities

• Support mission programs and projects at the Chantilly facility.
• Design, plan, implement, configure, administer, and maintain Windows Server/workstation environments.
• Configure and deploy Windows servers/workstations and client software in domain environments.
• Maintain LANs and support WAN interconnectivity.
• Act as subject-matter expert for OS, applications, and infrastructure.
• Evaluate requirements and draft technical specifications and implementation plans.
• Recommend redesigns and configuration changes to improve performance.
• Maintain availability, reliability, security, and performance of systems.
• Perform OS patching, security configuration, and remediation for Windows endpoints.
• Remediate vulnerabilities with cybersecurity personnel.
• Maintain compliance with government security standards with ISSM.
• Support Active Directory, DNS, Exchange, and MFA services.
• Manage and maintain AD forests; hardware for workstations/servers/storage/printers.
• Support enterprise backups, DR, and high-availability solutions.
• Assist with storage technologies such as NetApp or Dell EMC.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware/software/network issues.
• Integrate acquired or merged systems into existing environments.
• Document configurations, procedures, risks, and status.
• Provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership for admin initiatives.
• Deliver responsive support to internal/external customers.
• Participate in training to stay current with new technologies.
