Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Network Computer Systems Administrator to transform technology and connect critical networks for U.S. agencies. You’ll support enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, design new environments, and implement secure configurations across Cisco/Juniper systems.

You must hold a TS/SCI with polygraph, have DoD 8570.01-M IAT II, CCNA, and 8+ years of related experience. This on-site role offers competitive pay and a path to modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Technical training, certification or degree plus 8 years of experience.
• DoD 8570.01-M at IAT Level II and CCNA minimum; CCNP preferred.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Independently design and build new network environments, including topology and architecture planning.
• Configure and troubleshoot OSPF, RIP, and BGP routing protocols.
• Apply standard ACLs to enforce security and traffic policies.
• Manage Cisco/Juniper enterprise switching (Catalyst, Nexus, EX, QFX) environments.
• Design VLANs, trunking and inter-VLAN routing to support multi-tenant environments.
• Manage STP/RSTP/MST for loop-free topology and rapid convergence.
• Deploy EtherChannel/LACP for redundancy and throughput.
• Administer Cisco ASA appliances, including VPN and secure remote access.
• Implement firewall platforms (Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto, Juniper SRX) with policy hardening.
• Enforce DoD/DISA STIGs and security baselines across network infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance for high availability and security.
• Provide advanced root-cause analysis for complex connectivity issues.
• Support network modeling, analysis, and capacity planning for modernization.
• Collaborate with engineering on emerging technologies and upgrades.
