Job summary

Peraton is looking for a Network Engineer to join their dynamic team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. This role involves implementing leading edge information technologies, providing full spectrum network connectivity services, and offering specialized guidance for complex IT problems. Candidates must have a minimum of 12 years of IT experience, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, and an active DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification. TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph is also required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of IT related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 15 years total of IT related experience.
• Active DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher required.
• Experience providing highly technical guidance and solutions to complex IT problems.
• Active/current TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph required.

Job description

• Minimum of 12 years of IT related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or related discipline is required. Fifteen (15) years total of IT related experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
• Active DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher is required (i.e. Security+).
• Experience in at least two (2) of the following areas:
  • Network troubleshooting
  • Routers/switches
  • Cisco IOS/Junos OS
  • Firewalls
  • Hubs/Bridges/gateways
  • Network packet investigation/analysis tools
  • Database tools
• Experience providing highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems.
• Active/current TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
