Job summary

GTSC Bowen Group seeks a Network Engineer to design, build, maintain, and sustain classified network infrastructure supporting enterprise IT operations across three geographically dispersed government sites, including two SCIF facilities serving TS/SCI users.

Location is in the DC metro area with 25-50% travel. Candidates must have TS/SCI clearance, CCNA/CCNP/Security+ and 5+ years in network engineering within classified environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years network engineering in classified environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of routing, switching, and security fundamentals.
• Familiarity with ICD 705 standards for SCIF design.
• Familiarity with RMF per NIST SP 800-37/53.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and sustain enterprise network infrastructure across sites.
• Develop network designs based on performance, availability, security requirements.
• Engineer resilient connectivity across datacenters, cloud, WAN.
• Apply segmentation, routing, switching, and access control principles.
• Monitor health, capacity, latency, and utilization.
• Troubleshoot complex issues using telemetry, logs, and analysis.
• Establish redundancy, failover, and recovery mechanisms.
• Collaborate with systems, network, and cybersecurity teams.
• Develop automation and infrastructure-as-code practices.
