Job summary

GTSC Bowen Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to span networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, applications, data, and operations. You will ensure components operate securely and resiliently in a fast-paced prototype environment with milestone-driven deliverables.

The role requires 8+ years designing and integrating complex IT systems in classified environments, with a TS clearance (SCI eligible) and the ability to work across multiple sites in the Washington DC area.

Qualifications

8+ years designing, integrating, testing, or sustaining complex IT systems, including in classified environments.
Experience managing system requirements, interfaces, dependencies, configurations, and documentation.
Experience integrating capabilities across network, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, app, identity, or data domains.
Experience engineering capabilities for SCIF or multi-enclave environments with security boundaries.
Working knowledge of RMF (NIST SP 800-37 / 800-53) and advising senior leaders.
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
Systems engineering lifecycle principles and systems thinking.
Requirements analysis, decomposition, allocation, and traceability.
System architecture, integration, interfaces, and dependency management.
Verification, validation, test planning, and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

Enumerate and document the technical baseline across geographically dispersed sites.
Translate mission needs into clear, measurable system requirements.
Develop current-state, transition-state, and target-state designs across multiple domains.
Define boundaries, interfaces, data flows, and performance requirements.
Conduct analyses and trade studies on capability, interoperability, security, and cost.
Develop and execute integration, verification, validation, and acceptance plans.
Establish configurations, baselines, interface documentation, and decision records.
Coordinate with leads, operators, security personnel, and government stakeholders.
Develop automated methods for provisioning, testing, monitoring, and recovery.
