Job summary

Leidos is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Cyber Security Engineer to support a long-term DIA-NDOC project in Bethesda, MD. Role involves secure engineering across OSINT, cloud, and containerized environments, with Agile practices and hardening of Linux and Kubernetes.

The position emphasizes collaboration with DevSecOps and systems teams, emphasizing continuous monitoring, security in CI/CD, and RMF/ATO processes. On-site with possible remote tasks, competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IT, or engineering with 8–12 years of experience or Master’s with 6–10 years.
• DoD 8570 IAT certifications and elevated access requirements with Linux+ certification.
• Experience hardening Linux hosts and DISA STIG implementation.
• Proven Kubernetes security experience and CI/CD integration.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python.

Responsibilities

• Review and feedback on cybersecurity artifacts, architecture, and BOE results.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments for cloud-based systems and implement controls.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps and software teams to secure code and pipelines.
• Develop automation for STIG compliance and continuous monitoring.
• Prepare cybersecurity packages (IATT/ATO/CR) with government officials.
