Job summary

First Western Trust in Jackson, Wyoming seeks an experienced fiduciary professional to lead complex trust administration, estate planning, and high-net-worth client relationships. You will balance fiduciary duties with compliance and business development in a consultative role.

You’ll collaborate with Wealth Planning and other teams to deliver fiduciary services, mentor junior staff, and expand the bank’s trust portfolio through proactive client engagement and strategic opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have JD or CTFA with significant relevant work experience.
• 7–10 years of trust administration and/or experience in trust & estate planning.
• 5–7 years of business development and leadership.
• Experience with high-net-worth and complex fiduciary accounts.
• Strong knowledge of trust law, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven relationship management and business development skills.
• Excellent communication and advisory capabilities.
• Ability to manage complex client needs with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships for trust accounts and develop/retain clients; identify additional bank products.
• Attend meetings with beneficiaries and portfolio managers to advise on wealth planning objectives.
• Approve and direct disbursement of fiduciary funds and oversee tax return preparation for trusts.
• Administer complex trust relationships and collaborate to create fiduciary-focused wealth plans.
• Identify new opportunities via networking and consultative selling to contribute to office income growth.
• Consult with clients’ attorneys, accountants, and financial planners to promote fiduciary services.
• Coordinate prep of RFPs and fiduciary presentations; manage onboarding follow-up.
• Supervise and mentor junior Trust Officers and Associates; assist with training.
• Engage with the community and networks to support business development.
