You will serve as the primary contact for owner-operators and coach them on service performance, fleet utilization and on-time deliveries. Responsibilities include ensuring DOT compliance, communicating delays to customers, and maintaining driver pay and customer invoice documentation.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Responsabilités

Job overview:

Cowan is seeking a Senior Truck Dispatcher in Burlington to oversee owner-operator truck drivers and ensure customer freight is successfully delivered. The Senior Truck Dispatcher will serve as the primary point of contact for owner-operators and provide coaching to them on service performance, fleet utilization and on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities:

• Address safety and performance concerns with owner-operators and provide resources for problem resolution.
• Ensure owner-operators are compliant with DOT regulations and requirements.
• Confirm freight is dispatched and delivered on time, and communicate with the customer if there are delays.
• Address concerns from customers and elevate issues when needed.
• Be responsible for documentation related to driver pay and customer invoices.
• Perform regular performance reviews and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
• Ensure equipment utilization is optimized.

Skills and qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
