Job summary

Merck is seeking a Principal Trial Manager to lead data management initiatives and oversee the successful execution of the clinical data management strategy across trials. The role combines SME responsibilities, mentorship, and cross-functional leadership to enhance quality and compliance within the TM scope.

The ideal candidate brings end-to-end data management knowledge, strong project management, and the ability to work independently or in teams, driving improvements and facilitating training

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical data management across study lifecycles.
• Strong project management skills with cross-functional leadership.
• Ability to coach and mentor team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead Special Projects within GDMS and drive process improvements.
• Act as SME, mentor, and trainer on data management and leadership.
• Support training programs to improve end-to-end trial proficiency.
• Collaborate with process owners to ensure standards and peer reviews.
• Identify and implement data collection and management improvements.
• Support audits and inspections as needed.
• Manage complex risks and cross-functional initiatives.
