Job summary

Allstate seeks a Senior Trial Attorney to defend insureds and the Company in bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, handling hearings, arbitrations, and occasional trials. You will coordinate with business clients and fellow attorneys while monitoring evolving laws to keep strategies sharp.

JD required with Arizona Bar in good standing; 4+ years of litigation; comfortable working in a remote environment with travel across Arizona for court appearances.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of proven litigation experience or strong litigation-type skills.
• Ability to manage complex disputes and work under pressure.
• First or second chair jury trial experience preferred.
• Proven experience with insurance defense preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis, and internet research.
• Strong teamwork skills and collaboration with attorneys, paralegals, admin staff.

Responsibilities

• Represents insured individuals and the Company in defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases.
• Prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
• Prepares and presents pre- and post-trial motions.
• Assists colleagues in resolving calendar conflicts in a collaborative manner.
• Provides counsel to business clients on day-to-day legal matters.
• Manages projects and coordinates between legal teams.
• Monitors new laws, regulations, and case law; summarizes issues; advises business units.
