Job summary

Allstate in Phoenix is seeking a Senior Trial Attorney to defend bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, coordinate between legal teams, and provide counsel to business clients. The role involves mediations, arbitrations, and occasional trials to keep strategic plans sharp.

You will monitor new laws, supervise case loads, and collaborate with Lead Counsel. Arizona Bar membership and a JD are required; remote work options are available with travel across Arizona.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of proven litigation experience or strong litigation-type skills such as case strategy development and advocacy.
• First or second chair jury trial experience preferred.
• Experience with insurance defense is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis (preferred), and internet research.
• Ability to manage a substantial case load and work under pressure.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
• Willingness to travel throughout Arizona for court appearances.

Responsibilities

• Represent insured individuals and the Company in the defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits.
• Prepare for and conduct hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
• Prepare and present pre- and post-trial motions.
• Collaborate with other areas of the Law & Regulation departments to monitor laws and provide proactive counsel.
• Provide counsel to business clients on day-to-day legal matters.
• Manage projects and coordinate among legal teams.
