Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Litigation Expert for a remote contract role. You will construct and manage complex litigation scenarios, spanning pre-trial to arbitration, and coordinate discovery, motions, and trial planning using leading e-discovery platforms.

You will own litigation matters, with 5+ years of trial experience, and employ advanced tooling and methodologies to produce reference pleadings and memoranda. A JD with bar admission is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a litigator or trial attorney at a top firm or corporate department.
• Direct ownership of complex commercial litigation matters, with trial or arbitration experience.
• Familiarity with litigation tooling and procedures, and practical understanding of court rules and discovery.

Responsibilities

• Construct litigation scenarios spanning pre-trial discovery, motion practice, trial strategy, and settlement/arbitration processes.
• Build tasks across commercial, complex, and class action litigation, discovery/evidence mgmt, trial advocacy, and appellate practice.
• Develop scenarios using Relativity, Everlaw and other litigation tools; prepare deposition/trial materials.
• Apply FRCP, Federal Rules of Evidence, state rules and international rules to draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and memoranda.
• Author rubrics distinguishing authentic litigation judgment from generic recall.
