Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Legal Expert in Risk & Compliance to join our remote contractor team. You will handle advanced legal tasks across contracts, litigation-support, and research, delivering high-quality, practical work with tight quality controls.

You will work under senior review, adapt to calibration feedback, and apply Rubric standards established by the Expert Lead. JD or equivalent and active US bar are required; 3–8 years of practice preferred, paralegals should not apply.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of legal practice, Associate level preferred.
• JD or equivalent with active US bar admission.
• Strong experience in contract drafting, litigation support, and legal research.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and translate them into practical, high-quality tasks.
• Paralegals and Legal Assistants should not apply.

Responsibilities

• Create expert-level legal tasks across contract, litigation-support, and legal-research workflows.
• Evaluate and refine tasks to meet quality standards for accuracy, clarity, and practical applicability.
• Work under senior review and incorporate calibration feedback to continuously improve task quality.
• Apply rubric standards and guidance established by the Functional SME (Expert) Lead.
