Job summary

Career Developers Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Trial Attorney with at least 8 years of defense litigation experience to join our litigation team in a hybrid role in New York City.

The position focuses on premises liability, general liability, and construction-related matters, including NY Labor Law cases, with opportunities for significant trial work. The candidate will manage complex cases from intake through trial and collaborate with Partners to develop case strategy.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the State of New York.
• At least 8 years of defense litigation experience.
• Experience with NY Labor Law 200/240/241 and related construction matters.
• Experience appearing in court for motions, hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Trial experience in personal injury, general liability, or tort cases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload across insurance defense, general and construction liability.
• Handle all aspects of insurance defense litigation through trial.
• Regularly conduct/defend depositions and court appearances.
• Prepare witnesses and draft trial exhibits and evidence.
• Collaborate with partners on case strategy and client communications.
• Provide status updates and counsel to clients regarding case developments.
• Participate in trial strategy discussions and manage client expectations.
