Job summary

Emerald Tree & Shrub Care, Inc. is seeking a Senior Tree Care Advisor to build trusted client relationships and deliver expert arboricultural solutions across residential, commercial, and institutional landscapes.

You will assess tree and shrub health, present customized care plans, and collaborate with operations teams to ensure safe, high-quality service while pursuing long-term growth for both clients and the firm.

Qualifications

• Experience in arboriculture, tree care, plant health care, horticulture, landscaping, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in consultative sales, account management, or client relationship development.
• Strong knowledge of tree and shrub identification, health assessment, and care recommendations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and follow-through skills.
• Professional, trustworthy, and service-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with field and operations teams.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a commitment to responsible growth.
• ISA Certified Arborist or other relevant industry credential preferred.
• New York Category 3A, Connecticut Arborist, or Connecticut Ornamental and Turf licensing valued.

Responsibilities

• Assess the health, safety, structure, and care needs of trees and shrubs for residential, commercial, and institutional clients.
• Develop and present customized recommendations for pruning, plant health care, tree preservation, removal, and related services.
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients through proactive communication and exceptional service.
• Grow and manage a client portfolio through referrals, networking, and outreach.
• Prepare clear, detailed proposals and follow up with prospective and existing clients.
• Identify opportunities to provide clients with comprehensive, long-term landscape care solutions.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality service delivery.
• Monitor client satisfaction and address concerns promptly and professionally.
• Stay current on industry research, plant health care practices, and safety standards.
• Represent Emerald Tree & Shrub Care with professionalism, integrity, and technical expertise.
