Job summary

Emerald Tree & Shrub Care in the New York region seeks a Senior Tree Care Advisor to build trusted client relationships and deliver expert arboricultural solutions for residential, commercial, and institutional landscapes. You will guide pruning, plant health care, and long-term landscape care while guiding clients toward optimal results.

Qualifications

• Experience in arboriculture, tree care, plant health care, horticulture, landscaping, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in consultative sales, account management, or client relationship development.
• Strong knowledge of tree and shrub identification, health assessment, and care recommendations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and follow-through skills.
• Professional, trustworthy, and service-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with field and operations teams.
• ISA Certified Arborist or other relevant credential preferred.
• New York Category 3A, Connecticut Arborist, or Connecticut Ornamental and Turf licensing valued.

Responsibilities

• Assess the health, safety, structure, and care needs of trees and shrubs for residential, commercial, and institutional clients
• Develop and present customized recommendations for pruning, plant health care, tree preservation, removal, and related services
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients through proactive communication and exceptional service
• Grow and manage a client portfolio through referrals, networking, and outreach
• Prepare clear, detailed proposals and follow up with prospective and existing clients
• Identify opportunities to provide clients with comprehensive, long-term landscape care solutions
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality service delivery
• Monitor client satisfaction and address concerns promptly and professionally
• Stay current on industry research, plant health care practices, and safety standards
• Represent Emerald Tree & Shrub Care with professionalism, integrity, and technical expertise
