Job summary

N3XT is a Wyoming-chartered SPDI focused on secure blockchain-enabled banking. We seek a Senior Treasury Manager to lead liquidity, investment strategy, and capital management.

Reporting to Head of Treasury, you will oversee daily operations, regulatory compliance, and risk management in a fast-paced fintech environment. You will collaborate with finance, engineering, and operations to optimize cash flow, automate processes, and enhance visibility into treasury metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of progressive experience in corporate treasury, banking or financial risk management.
• Experience in a regulated financial institution (bank, trust company, broker-dealer).
• Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills; ability to communicate complex treasury concepts.

Responsibilities

• Liquidity and Treasury Management: Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-term cash flow forecasts.
• Investment Portfolio: Formulate laddering strategies to optimize interest rate capture while maintaining liquidity.
• Risk Management and Compliance: Identify and mitigate liquidity and interest rate risks; ensure regulatory alignment.
• Leadership and Operations: Develop treasury policies, controls, and automate reconciliation processes.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Treasury Manager to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of Treasury, the Senior Treasury Manager is a key leadership role responsible for executing the Bank's daily liquidity, capital management, and investment strategies. This role encompasses hands-on management and safeguarding of the investment portfolio, optimization of financial performance and risk mitigation across the organization. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with deep expertise in treasury operations, liquidity management, and relevant banking regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Liquidity and Treasury Management:
• Cash Flow and Forecasting: Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-term cash flow forecasts to ensure operational liquidity for customer deposits.
• Investment Portfolio: Formulate laddering strategies to ensure availability of funds while optimizing interest rate capture
• Quantitative Modelling: Utilize and deploy quantitative models and methods to predict deposit trends and manage potential liquidity stress scenarios
• Payment Infrastructure: Manage the Bank's access to and use of critical payment systems, including high-volume domestic wire and SWIFT rails
• Risk Management and Compliance:
• Financial Risk: Identify, measure and manage financial risks, including liquidity risk and interest rate risk.
• Investment Policy: Execute short-term investment strategies for surplus cash, maintaining a highly liquid, low-risk portfolio strictly aligned with regulatory guidelines.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed daily, monthly and quarterly reports on cash positions, liquidity management, investment performance, and risk exposure for the CFO and the Risk and Audit Committee.
• Regulatory Controls: Work closely with the compliance team to ensure all treasury operations adhere to all regulatory standards.
• Banking Relations:
• Relationship Management: Assist in managing relationships with banking partners, correspondent banks and custodians.
• Evaluation: Prepare due diligence reports on current and potential banking partners, evaluate operational structures and identify risks and opportunities
• Leadership and Operations:
• Policy and Controls: Develop, implement, and enforce robust treasury policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure audit readiness and operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve cash and bank reconciliation processes
• Technology: Evaluate, select, and integrate financial technologies to automate processes, improve real-time visibility, and enhance control and scalability.
  

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of progressive experience in corporate treasury, banking or financial risk management, preferably within a fintech environment.
• Regulated Environment: Experience working within a regulated financial institution (e.g., bank, trust company, broker-dealer).
• Exceptional financial modeling and forecasting skills with the ability to convey complex treasury management strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rapidly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CFA and/or Certified Treasury Professional is preferred.
• Experience with regulatory reporting for financial institutions.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools and programming, including Python and/or R
• Academic and/or professional background in statistical and/or quantitative modelling
• Ability to navigate databases, build data pipelines and liaise with engineering teams
• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
