Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst in CityScape to support the investment portfolio team with daily collateral monitoring, transaction entry, and prepurchase analysis. You will help develop controls, monitor credit, and coordinate settlements with safekeepers and brokers.

The role requires 3+ years in accounting/finance, a related bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred), and solid knowledge of banking operations and regulatory requirements. Travel occasionally.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in Accounting, Finance (GL Mgmt., Public Reporting, Analysis), Economics or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required; Masters or MBA in related field preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
• Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Intermediate knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
• Chartered Financial Analysts preferred.
• Certified Treasury Professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day investment activities such as daily collateral monitoring, investment transaction entry, prepurchase analysis, and security settlements.
• Submit daily collateral pool reports to the various entities for public funds.
• Assist with prepurchase analysis of securities.
• Assist with developing and implementing controls in the investment management and reporting process.
• Assist with credit monitoring of the investment portfolio.
• Coordinate settlement of investment securities between safekeeper and broker dealers.
• Assist with monitoring of investment portfolio KRIs and metrics.
• Pledge securities and track investment portfolio liquidity for quarterly liquidity stress test.
