Job summary

Oakland University is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst in Rochester, MI, to oversee the financial accounting and investment administration of the endowment funds. The role also maintains Banner financial tables, and prepares monthly and year-end ledgers for university use.

The position develops reports and analyses for management and staff, and provides training to accounting clerical personnel. Strong Excel/Access skills and a track record in accounting are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Four years of broad-based accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel.
• Ability to use financial accounting technology including spreadsheets and databases.
• Ability to manage complex financial activities and projects.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Position Purpose

The Senior Treasury Analyst is responsible for the financial accounting and investment administration activities of the Oakland University endowment funds. In addition, the senior accountant maintains Banner financial tables, prepares monthly and year-end computer based financial ledgers for use by the University community, and prepares various year-end audit schedules and financial statements. This position also develops and maintains ad hoc and recurring reports, analyses, and information as requested by management and other University staff. Provides functional advice and training to accounting clerical staff.
