Job summary

Diamond Peak Recruiting seeks an experienced Traveling Mechanical Project Executive to oversee sizable commercial mechanical construction programs across sites. The role drives project performance, profitability, client satisfaction, and operational excellence while managing HVAC, plumbing, and piping scopes.

Extensive travel to project locations is required, with leadership responsibility for project teams, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of mechanical construction experience, including senior project leadership.
• Proven track record overseeing large commercial HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects.
• Strong financial, operational, leadership, and client management skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively to project locations.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of large commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Lead and develop project managers, superintendents, and project teams.
• Oversee budgets, forecasting, contract negotiations, schedules, and overall project profitability.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, general contractors, engineers, and key stakeholders.
• Monitor project performance, mitigate risks, and resolve high-level operational challenges.
• Support business development, client retention, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Ensure projects meet company standards for safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance.
