Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a full-time traveling Project Leader for an Advanced Technology program spanning Data Centers, Pharmaceutical, Industrial/Manufacturing and EV/Battery/Renewables segments.

You will manage project engineering and administration, lead teams, ensure safety and QA/QC, and coordinate with design professionals, owners and subcontractors to meet GMP and budget goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus minimum of eight years' related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and cost control procedures.
• Knowledge of estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, various building systems.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
• Knowledge of Turner's Project Management and scheduling software desirable.
• Ability to implement BIM and Lean to benefit the project.
• Ability to thoroughly understand drawings and specifications, general contract and subcontract documents, materials, means and methods.
• Excellent oral and written communication and leadership/interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of contract documents and Turner's contract, plans, specs, and codes.
• Lead and develop Turner engineering staff; participate in performance appraisals.
• Ensure safety, ethics and compliance at all times.
• Communicate information among project team members.
• Coordinate information flow with design professionals, consultants, owners and subcontractors.
• Develop GMP or initial project budget in collaboration with Preconstruction, Estimating and Purchasing.
• Review construction documents for constructability and QA/QC; escalate concerns.
• Assist in studies and cost estimates; prepare detailed contract item lists and trade scope documents.
• Create procurement schedule for subcontractors and major purchases to meet schedule.
• Manage project financial status including reports and status updates.
• Schedule and document owner-architect and coordination meetings.
• Manage subcontract change orders including negotiation and approvals.
• Oversee project close-out, warranties, final payment and records retention.
