Job summary

Reliable Electric and Lighting is seeking an experienced Traveling Commercial Lighting Technician Foreman to lead large-scale interior and exterior lighting retrofit projects for national commercial retail clients. This hands-on field leader will oversee a crew, manage project progress, and ensure safety and quality on site across multiple states.

The role requires 5–10 years in commercial lighting retrofit and proven crew leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a field crew on commercial lighting retrofit projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lighting fixtures, lamps, drivers, ballasts, controls.
• Ability to read and understand project drawings and installation requirements.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crews of Commercial Lighting Technicians.
• Perform and oversee commercial lighting retrofits, upgrades, and installations.
• Assign daily work and maintain crew productivity.
• Review project drawings, scope of work, fixture counts, site information, and project requirements.
• Verify work is completed per project specifications.
• Communicate with the Superintendent and Project Manager on progress and needs.
• Train and develop Lighting Technicians assigned to your crew.
• Perform quality-control inspections and ensure proper documentation.
